International Day of the Girl Child 2023 Program

As part of activities marking the 2023 INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD, ROSELINE ADESUYI INITIATIVE in conjunction with THE CHOSEN INSPIRAA FOUNDATION organised a one-day symposium for adolescents (boys & girls) across some selected secondary schools in Oyo State, enlightening them about who a GIRL CHILD really is and her unique nature.

The event was held at the U&I Building, University of Ibadan Campus, with over 90 secondary school students in attendance, coupled with seasoned guest speakers.

The theme for this year’s celebration is “NEW ERA, NEW ME; REDEFINING WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A GIRL CHILD.”

Some of the guest speakers include:
Charles Alade, MD/CEO, HEBBYMIX STUDIO LIMITED & Idowu Aderike Oyekola, a
SOCIAL WORKER.

There was also a PANELIST SESSION moderated by Favour of SOLUTIONS FM, Ibadan, where different issues relating to the personality of a Girl Child were addressed.
The panelists include:
Emmanuel Ola-Olowoyo, Network Coordinator SDSN( Sustainable Development Goal Network), Jeremiah Ojo, Founder, SMILING THROUGH INITIATIVE & Omotola Odeleke,
President, University of Ibadan Medical Students’ Association.

The children had so much fun and were enlightened, including their male counterparts.

Speaking on behalf of one of the co-coveners- ROSELINE ADEWUYI INITIATIVE, a volunteer EBUN appreciated the participating schools for deeming it fit to attend the event, with the hope that the Programme will have a positive impact in their lives now and in years to come.

In her remarks, the Executive Director, the CHOSEN INSPIRAA FOUNDATION, Funmilayo Omodara,
appreciated God for the success of the event and also appreciated all volunteers in attendance for a job well done, not forgetting the ever-dynamic sponsors of the event.

No doubt the 2023 INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD was fruitful in Ibadan Metropolis courtesy ROSELINE ADEWUYI INITIATIVE & THE CHOSEN INSPIRAA FOUNDATION, with its impact resonating in the hearts of the adolescents, even in years to come.
